Why do you enjoy performing at weddings?
I remember the excitement and the sheer adrenaline I had
when I got married and how much fun everyone had when
the DJ was packing the dance floor. I want to be able to
give that same experience to the couples that I DJ for.
How do you make sure the hosts are enjoying your performance?
It's usually easy to tell if they are enjoying themselves. They are dancing,
having fun and not having to worry about anything. Although the best way
to tell is to simply ask.
What type of personality do you have?
I'm outgoing by nature and love to interact with people. But I can
adapt to whatever the situation may call for.
Why do you enjoy working at Complete Music?
Complete Music holds DJs to a higher standard. It's not just playing music and
sitting behind a mixer. It's about doing the perfect performance every time. I like
working for them because of the great level of pride in the work that their DJs do.
What makes you different as a DJ?
While we all have the same skill set at Complete Music we are all
different in our own ways. I would say I'm unique in that I bring my
own level of energy and style to each event that I DJ.
Give an example of one of your best moments as a DJ.
I spoke with a future groom a few days before his wedding. He was so laid back and so confident that he really shocked me. Most grooms-to-be are at least a little
nervous. When I arrived at the reception I got word that he was so nerve racked
the day of, he was in danger of being late to his own wedding. When he arrived
he came and talked to me and apologized for being late. I sat and talked with him
for a bit cause I could tell he was a wreck. I was able to calm him down and
assure him that everything would be perfect and that I would handle anything that
he needed help with. He seemed to appreciate the advice and went on to have
a GREAT time at his reception.
What is your number one goal at your dances?
To make sure the event is a success in the eyes of the hosts as
well as the guests. I want everyone to walk away from it thinking, "I had a great time."
